Local-first & private
Your recipe box lives on your device. No account, no cloud and nobody looking over your shoulder.
A local-first recipe book
A private recipe book, meal planner and shopping list that works without an account — and without a signal.
01 — What’s inside
A complete kitchen notebook, built around one idea: the recipes you cook are yours. No feeds, no profiles, no “engage with this”.
Your recipe box lives on your device. No account, no cloud and nobody looking over your shoulder.
Ingredients, step-by-step method, notes, photos and star ratings. Cooking mode keeps the screen awake while your hands are busy.
Plan breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks across the month. Today’s menu is always one glance away.
Turn a recipe — or a whole week of meals — into a list, then tick it off aisle by aisle.
Paste a link and Flavour Forge reads the recipe’s public metadata on your device. No account or API key required.
Export everything — recipes, photos, plans and lists — as one ZIP file, ready to restore whenever you need it.
02 — Inside the app
Warm, unfussy screens that stay out of the way. Built for a phone propped against the kettle, a tablet on the counter, and a week that needs planning.
Photos, notes, ratings and a cooking mode that keeps the screen on while your hands are full.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in one calm monthly view. Add the whole week to your list in a tap.
Turn a recipe — or the whole week — into a list you can tick off, grouped the way you shop.
03 — Privacy
Flavour Forge is local-first by design, not as an afterthought. There is no account to create, no library to upload, and no analytics quietly watching what you cook.
04 — Questions

No. There is no sign-up, no sign-in, no subscription and no cloud sync. Open the app and start cooking.
Yes. Your recipes, photos, meal plans and shopping lists live on your device. The only feature that needs a connection is importing a recipe from a web page.
In the app’s private SQLite database and documents folder on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a Flavour Forge server.
Flavour Forge can import pages that publish schema.org Recipe metadata. The page is fetched directly by your device and parsed there. Sites behind a login or without recipe metadata may not work.
Uninstalling removes the app’s local database and photos. There is no server copy to restore from, so export a ZIP backup first if you want to keep your library.
Export a backup from Settings, move the ZIP file to the new device, and restore it in the app. The file only leaves your device if you choose to share it.
Six languages: English, German, Spanish, Serbian, Bosnian and Russian.
